Isara Online is a browser-based 3D isometric MMORPG where you play a Blessed Warden of the Crown who can switch between Warrior and Mage with a single key, mid-fight.

Long

Isara Online is a browser-based 3D isometric MMORPG from a small independent team, built as a homage to the isometric online RPGs of the early 2000s. It keeps the view and the shared world players remember, and rebuilds everything else for today: full 3D with a camera that rotates around your character, and fast hack-and-slash combat with direct control instead of click-to-move and click-to-attack.

Players are Wardens: the Crown's Blessed specialists, feared by the people they protect, who come back from death at the nearest chapel. A new Warden's first posting, a forest village where the birds have gone quiet, becomes the first thread of a conspiracy running through the order that trained them and the Church that blessed them.

There are no classes. Every character fights as a Warrior, up close with heavy weapons and armour, and as a Mage, controlling the field with spells from range — and switches between the two with a single key at any moment. Players open with a spell, close the gap and switch to steel.

The world is built with the team's own tool, the Workbench: a 3D Map Editor for zones and dungeons, and a Sequence & Trigger Manager that wires together quests, events and encounters. Isara Online is in pre-alpha and free to play during testing.
